Hey there, I’m Rachel!

Welcome to Every Bloom Flowers — I’m so glad you’re here! This is my story with flowers:

My flower journey began in the summer of 2020, right before my freshman year of high school. It all started with a simple gift: a packet of zinnia and cosmos seeds. I had no idea what I was doing, but I decided to give them a shot....just to see what would happen. To my surprise (and delight!), the seeds sprouted, grew tall, and eventually burst into colorful, joyful blooms. That moment sparked something in me I never expected, a deep love for flowers!

The following spring, I took a leap and wrote a handwritten letter (yes, good old snail-mail!) to one of my favorite local flower businesses. Not long after, they generously gifted me a large crate full of dahlia tubers. I still remember the excitement of opening that box! Planting those tubers marked the start of my obsession with dahlias and, soon after, I was completely hooked on the beauty of locally grown flowers.

Since then, Every Bloom Flowers has grown with me. Thanks to the handful of backyard blooms I grew in 2020, I’ve fallen in love with flowers and I now grow a mix of dahlias, seed-grown annuals, and hardy perennials, all right here in beautiful Burlington, Washington.

Beyond growing, I’ve slowly cultivated a love of floral design. There's something so special about arranging flowers into something meaningful—whether it's a spontaneous bouquet for a friend or a centerpiece for the table. I would call myself currently an 'aspiring florist'. I'm still not 100% sure I want to jump into the Florist/Weddings world, but who knows?! I trust that God's got a beautiful plan for me regarding the place flowers have in my life :) Anyways, for now you could say I’m “dabbling” in the florist world by doing my sweet friends weddings and I'm loving every minute of it!!
